Memorial Garden Columbarium Church Yard at Saint Mary's
Saint Mary's Columbarium and Memorial Garden is a place set aside for the respectful interment of the cremated remains of deceased loved ones. The term 'columbarium' comes from the Latin columba (dove) and takes its name from the style of compartmental dovecotes and dates from ancient Christian times.

St. Mary's Columbarium was established in 1957 and is situated immediately behind the historic church on the northern side. There is a boundary wall of niches in addition to a tranquil memorial garden. There is always visitor access available to the columbarium people are welcome to also enter the church for quiet reflection and payer when the church is open.

To assist visitors in finding their loved ones in the Columbarium we have an alphabetical listing in the Columbarium Database (accessible at the right). Simply scroll down the list to the name you are seeking and make a note of the SECTION, COLUMN and ROW as listed and then refer to the Columbarium Map page.

** IMPORTANT UPDATE **
A new extension to the Columbarium has just been built and there is now a greater number of niches available.
Several parishioners have taken advantage of niche prices before new pricing arrangements come into effect.
