”My approach is probably a traditional one: having been brought up on the hymns of the New English Hymnal. I don’t see those hymns as old and stuffy; on the contrary, I think many of them are timeless and unparalleled in their sense of reverence, grandeur and ability to inspire. But I’m never one to back away from new developments and am always happy to accommodate new hymns and music; I understand their importance in attracting people to worship I guess...”
